Venta Guadalest

Introduction:

When you arrive to Guadalest, the first place you will find is this ancient house that used to be a small inn where travellers normally stayed when they were travelling from Callosa d’En Sarrià to Alcoy by stagecoach. This house is well known by the eldest inhabitants of Guadalest as “La Venta”. However, till 2022 was called Café Bar Guadalest since this name was painted in the main facade in the 60’s. Now is again Restaurant Venta Guadalest.

Description:

This Restaurante Venta Guadalest, is still maintaining the traditional features of those ancient houses of the town with high ceilings held on wooden beams and masonry walls. However, it is clear that the house has been remodelled according to the necessities of each time. In its walls you will find the best pictures of Guadalest, which were taken at the beginning of the 20th century.
