The museum was created to publish the way of life and work of our ancestors in Vall de Guadalest. The Museum is located in a typical eighteenth-century house from El Castell de Guadalest, built on the rock, inside the old town that was a fortress of Arab origin, accessing it through a tunnel dug in stone and whose door is still preserved.
Devoted to everyday rural life, where the traditional home, pantry, farmyard and bedroom is displayed, with all the objects related to each need.
Dedicated to the farming and transformation of the basic products of the area: olive tree, vine, and cereal. We find inside the mill, the mill and the winery, all with their corresponding tools, elements and machinery. The processes can be seen in the explanatory videos "From wheat to bread" and "From olive to oil".
Composed of a collection of ancient weapons.
The museum has explanatory labels and information leaflets (in the main European languages) given to visitors.
